Where to buy Kosher Wine in Philly, NJ or Delaware?

  • 9

We need to bring Kosher wine for Thanksgiving. Any selectoons as to where to buy decent Kosher wine (Under $12.00 bottle?). Is there a place in Delaware on NJ to buy it cheaper than PA?

Only need about 4 bottles. I know that the Beth Zion Synagogue (18th and Spruce) was selling at Passover. And I did a Search on Total Wine in Claymount and came up with only 1 white and one red ($8.99 each) but a google search on the brand brought up no sites with reviews.

  1. I would contact Cherry Hill Kosher Market & ask...
    http://www.cherryhillkosher.com (856)428-6663

    1. Rosenberg's in Jenkintown sells kosher wine. It is primarily a bookstore and gift shop, but they also have wine. It may be above your price range, but worth checking.

      1. Just go to any PA Wine & Spirits shop and they'll have Kosher wine. Also Check Moore Brothers in Wilmington or Pennsauken.

        1. Moore Bros. does not have any Kosher wines. Any synagogue gift shop will have some (I am pretty sure our synagogue has some) although they will be left over from last passover. I'd try any good wine shop in Cherry Hill.

          1. Check out State Line Liquors in Elkton MD (They're on the border of DE). 800-446-9463. they've got a good selection of just about everything

Well State Line says they really only stock for Passover. The carry a White Zin (yecch!) and one Chardonnay (Barron Herzog $12.99). Not worth the trip from Center City for that! We're heading through Wilmington this weekend and may have to grab one of the two at total wine.

            2. State Line Liquors in Elkton, MD is a good bet, as is Total Wine in Claymont, DE, right off the Naamans Rd exit of 95 at the PA/DE border.

I'll call State Line tomorrow. As I pointed out above Total Wine has one red and one white at $8.99/bottle. Seemed to be a standard Kosher Wine. Yep, synagogues have it but most have from Passover. I don't need Passover. I just need Kosher. Thanks for all the replies.

              2. Corkscrewed in cherry hill should be able to help you out. i think $12 may be a little low, but they usualy have several kosher selections.
