I'm looking to purchase a wooden butcher's block for an island in my kitchen. I am looking for some recomendations for some smaller manufacturers that build blocks. I want a fairly large block, 3 inches deep, 30 inches wide and 5 feet long. Anyhelp would be welcome.

Well, I live just outside Bally, PA, so I just go to the factory ;) They have an "ORDER" link in the menu bar with links to distributors. Do you live anywhere near PA ?

Check out Bally Block in Pennsylvania. We've bough several items from them, and if necessary, they'll build to spec.

My brother makes custom butcher blocks, he recently finished one 29"x43"x2.5" for a kitchen island for someone.

Send me an email and I can put you in touch with him if you'd like to see some of his work.

Contact Boos Blocks I am sure they must have a web site.
