carln Nov 4, 2006 10:26 PM

Does anyone know of a good chinese delivery place that would deliver to Mission Beach. If "good" is a stretch, a decent one would do. Im desperate.

As a long time resident of PB, I can state there is no such thing. There is also no good delivery pizza. Hoboken makes a decent pie, but always 60 min delivery and need to go back in my oven, If I have to put a pie in the oven, it's going to be one I made. Just my opinon, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

      Cheers

You called this one right stevuchan. The Hoboken pie is not too bad but delivery time is ridiculous. You would think it came all the way from Jersey.

As far as Chinese delivery is concerned, I use China Chef on Pearl St. in La Jolla. They deliver to my area of Pacific Beach (near Crystal Pier), I am not sure about Mission Beach. Call them to find out. 454-7597. Also, don't expect too much, the food is passable and that is about it.

Also, although calling their food Chinese is a bit of a stretch, Pick up Stix on Garnet delivers, though not very late.

Good info but sad to see no Chinese in Mission Beach. As far as pizza goes, I always liked La Cosa Pizza located on Garnet. The "Milano" pizza is great. Simple and authentic.

I will give La Cosa another try, last time I had it delivered it was wet, and soggy. I guess just about everwhere I need to ask "well done please".

          Cheers

generally the worst thing that you can do to a pizza is stick it in a box and let it steam in there. No matter where i order pizza from, i find that i have to put it in the oven for a minute or two to crisp it back up.
