I need to find a fun place to take my mom to dinner when we meet up in Manhattan next week. She loves Italian, and the more upbeat, warm, fun, festive, the better. Maybe some live opera? And yes, I know I should probably specify a neighborhood. We're staying in Midtown, but honestly we're open to anything in Manhattan. Babbo is completely booked, unfortunately. Ideas?

  1. Otto should fit the bill!

Agree on Otto. Also, Becco in the theater district.

    2. Osteria Del Circo is fun and Mrs. Maccioni's specials are always delectable. Medditeraneo on the east side is good too.
