If you don't eat pork you should reconsider going to Ssam late night or to Noodle bar anytime for that matter.

do all the dishes have pork in them? i know supposedly there's only one completely vegetarian item on the menu, namely the ginger noodles without broth.

yeah, at Noodle Bar save for Ginger Noodles (and you would be slighting yourself if you ordered this), all the entrees contain pork. There do serve shiitake steamed buns and pickles though and there are some decent fish dishes. Man now I'm hungry (and I just had ramen at Minca tonight!)I know that if your original post was about Ssam but If your interested in in vegetarian ramen you could go to Rai Rai Ken and get the miso ramen (yum)

Have you ever tried the ginger scallion noodles? When I don't want the heavy, nappy-time pork noodles, I get the ginger scallion. It's lighter, cheaper, and still tasty. It's the only dish that leaves room for a cannolli at Veniero's around the corner!
