On a search for seared sea scallops- PDX

My husband and I have this restaurant we absolutely LOVE because it has the most amazing seared sea scallops. The downside? The restaurant is in Los Angeles... so I'd like any recommendations anyone has for some amazing ones, preferably in a sauce of some variety and NOT wrapped in bacon (I don't eat pork). Any recs would be appreciated, price range and genre not an issue!

Thanks!

If you are in the Bainbridge Island area there are some good Kuril Island scallops at Madoka. I am an Alaskan fisherman and never have eaten scallops better than these!

Castanga handles scallops very well (when on the menu)

We had excellent scallops at Andina Restaurant in the Pearl district. The scallops were lightly sauteed and served on the shell in a little pool of juicy goodness :-) It was expensive, but well worth it!
