Hosting an outdoor grilling for about 10 people, trying to decide what to throw on the fire...
I work and don't get home until seven, but it's not until tomorrow night, so I can prep and get things marinating tonight. I figure I'll have an hour to put things together tomorrow before they'll be clamoring for food. No picky eaters coming; all have a taste for the interesting and exotic. Any suggestions? (I did a Santa Maria style tri-tip last weekend, so I don't want to do anything too similar to that). Compatable side dish suggestions welcome too!

How about going for a western-Asian themed cookout?
Make a chunky paste of garlic, ginger, hot chiles, ground coriander, a little cumin, fresh cilantro, lemon juice, s&p. Make a few slashes through the skin down to the bone in chicken legs and rub the paste inside and all over. Let marinade as long as possible and grill.
Do a lamb kebab of some sort. Either marinated chunks of lamb or a ground lamb (kubideh).
Quickly sizzle some previously blanched green beans in some garlic, cumin seeds, ginger and chopped tomato.
Serve with fabulous fresh flat bread, basmati rice, and have a bowl of the cucumber/yogurt sauce raita.
