Seeking an East County San Diego Restaurant for a Dinner for 35 People

Hi. Short notice. Looking for a restaurant in or around East County San Diego that can accommodate about 35 people for a sit-down dinner Nov 10. Trying to keep total price around $30/person. Doesn't have to be a private room; adjoining tables would suffice. Don't need a three-course meal with dessert. Soup or salad; entree; and beverage are enough. Thanks.

Seafood okay? Anthony's in La Mesa has a good sized separate room. It's inexpensive and an excellent value.

I bet you could do something at the Brigantine.

You can definitely do something at the Brig in La Mesa for about $30 a head. However, the last time I ate there (which would be this past August) the meal was terrible and the service miserable.

I have had perfectly respectable meals at this location but it is wildly inconsistent. It is also an extremely NOISY restaurant. One end of the table will definitely not be able to hear the other.
