Waldorf Salads in Minneapolis?

Doghouse Reilly Nov 2, 2006 11:54 AM

Can anyone help me find a place that serves a decent Waldorf Salad? I haven't been able to locate one. A few places come close but no cigar. It doesn't seem like that complicated a dish.

Does this bring back a particular episode of "Fawlty Towers" to anyone else?

Oh. My. In a mayonaisse sauce. The episode got my daughter hooked on Waldorf salads. Haven't seen any on menus in MSP, though; perhaps trying some old-style supper-clubby places?

I was going to make my own, but I'm fresh out of Waldorfs. A friend of mine wants to find a restaurant that serves them but I haven't been able to find one. He'd even be willing to pay a little more to keep the chef on after his quitting time.

I had a Waldorf Salad at the Oceanaire about a year ago. However when I was there for my Dad's birthday last week, it was not on the menu.
