Any recommendations for the best place to get Sunday brunch buffet-style (like they have at fancy hotels)?

I've never been disappointed at Aqavit, even at the high price point.

The Water Club has a very nice buffet brunch. $35 includes coffee/tea. Smoked salmon, smoked trout, jumbo shrimp, oysters are some of the highlights.

I've never been, but I've heard that the Rainbow Room has a pretty spectacular brunch (however I looked on the Website and it seems very expensive for brunch).

This is not in Manhattan, but the best brunch buffet I've ever been to was at the Garden City Hotel. It was beautifully set up and had loads of fresh seafood, delicious eggs, and pastries.

Ulysses on Stone street without a doubt... oysters, clams, shrimp and guinness what could be better?

The best spot (mainly for the atmosphere) is the Central Park Boathouse. The food is also pretty good. Especially nice on warm spring or summer morning. I'm sure it's nice in the cold weather, however the outdoor seating will not be an option.

City Bakery. Expensive, but soooooo worth it.
