Truffle Menus in Bay Area

I had a transendent experience at Per Se with white truffles. This event made me wonder if anyone knows of any restaurants doing special truffle menus?

Thanks.

I just read that Poggio in Sausalito offers an its annual Italy's Festa del Tartufo with a 5 Nights of Truffles event, Nov. 15-17.

I went to Viognier's and Olivetto's truffle dinners last year and they were both excellent. Sadly, Viognier is not offering it this year. The French Laundry also offered a white truffle supplement last Wednesday. It was an organic risotto with a liberal amount of truffles shaved over the top. It was excellent, but nearly the same as the truffle supplement that Cyrus offered last year (not to mention the dish that Per Se apparently served last month). In my humble opinion Oliveto's probably has the best truffle dinner in the bay area.

Is no one but Oliveto doing truffle menus? Delfina ususally doens one and "Bizou" used to. Intelligence needed!

Bizou morphed in to Coco 500, which doesn't seem like a truffle-menu kind of place.

Palio d'Asti in SF currently has truffles available. However, I don't think they have a special menu. I would also check with Aquerello on Sacramento Street.

I don't know about this year, but last year Marche au Fleur in Marin did a truffle dinner I think for two or three nights in December. The truffle tasting menus I could find were at Gary Danko, the Dining Room at the Ritz (although that was the $300 WHITE truffle menu), and one of the French places, I think Fleur de Lys. Sadly, I didn't get to any of them.

                      Hi ciaogina,
I just dined at Per Se on Oct 21st. I added the white truffle rissoto to my 7 course chef's tasting. It was phenomenal. Is that what you had?

I will be in San Francisco on December 1st. Are there any other truffle menus besides Oliveto's? Or tasting menu's with truffle supplements?

I'm going to one of Oliveto's truffle dinners this year. Never been upstairs. This is a special occasion. Anyone got any tips on a seating request or anything else?

Sitting at the small bar can be fun as you get to watch and kibitz with the cook who runs the wood oven.

The tables all seem about equal to me.

You are also right next to the area where they keep the truffles, so the scent of white truffles wafts over you during your whole meal.

Awesome, just spoke to them and its nearly sold out (Friday is for sure). The owners are over there now hunting for truffles (envy envy envy). They return on the 12th or something and begin the truffle dinner on the 14th! I can smell them from here!
