private dinner and helicopter ride

my friend wants to surprise his gf w/a private dinner and helicopter ride. I told him about the helicopter ride from van nuys airport w/dinner at Aero Squadron.
He doesn't want that.
He's looking for something more initimate and special.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Your friend might find it easier if he sought a dinner and hot air balloon ride. Those are easily found in San Diego.

I don't know with certainty, but I have to think that you can get that at Santa Monica Airport. And they could eat at The Hump, which serves memorable sushi.
