Saigon Grill Anyone??
My family loves Saigon Grill and have had no problem making weekly trips to the Upper West, then Upper East sides, now University Place locations. I must throw in that I am not crazy about the one downtown NYC as the prices are different and they don't give you the free tea there! Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could tell me of a vietnamese place that has food as tasty and consistent as Saigon Grill? I guess University Place is not too far to travel to from Central Brooklyn, but if there's someplace as good in the BK why travel any further?

This probably should go on the Manhattan board but there are a number of excellent Vietnamese places in Chinatown, much closer to Brooklyn than UES or UWS. My favorite is Pho Viet Huong (Mulberry between Bayard and Canal), but Nha Trang (Centre between Walker and White, and Baxter between Bayard and Canal) is also excellent.

I agree w/ Melon. Also there’s a nice Vietnamese place in Gravesend on Ave. U between 19th and Ocean and I think it's called Pho Hoa (please correct me if I’m wrong). Very good and very reasonably priced.
As an aside, if anyone from Saigon Grill is reading this please do downtown Brooklyn a favor and set up an outpost across the river. If you build it, and it’s as good as your UW & UE side locales, we will come – at least I will.
