Yes, Phillipe is Michael Chows brother. I have eaten at all the Mr. Chows and eat at the one in Beverly Hills at least once a month. I have been eating at them for approx. thirty years. My daughters sweet sixteen was at Eurochow. The food is Madarin.

Have you eaten at Mr. Chows? It is my favorite and this is supposed to be his brother that cooked for him for years.

I have not eaten at Mr. Chow, but from the reviews that came out when the Mr. Chow opened in Tribeca, it sounds like Philippe is almost exactly the same. If you like the food and the scene at Mr. Chow, you may like Philippe. I was horrified by everything about my meal, especially the bill, and will never be back nor will I ever tell anyone to go. Also, I believe there is no relation between Mr. Chow and Phillipe Chow.

One of the worst meals I have ever eaten - in NY or anywhere. Cramped space, pretentious servers, awful service, and wildly overpriced food saturated with sugar. It was pretty new when I was there, so it was a bit of a scene, so if showing off how much money you're throwing around is important, then by all means go. Otherwise, stay away at all costs. You'll get better food at a mall Panda Express - and at 1/10 the cost.
