Well, it really is a shame they got such bad reviews earlier this past month!

My friends and I first went there for Restaurant Week 2006 and had a wonderful meal. The service was great, the food...even better.

I had a birthday dinner get together there on Friday night.

We had such a good time. The food was fabulous. We had the calamari (the best my boyfriend ever had), 2 HUGE caesar salads and the Quesadillas. Our entrees were the Chilean Sea Bass, the Salmon, my Filet, the Pork Loin and a Shrimp and Scallop dish. Again, everything was awesome.

I dine with extremely picky diners who were literally throwing compliment after compliment on their dinners.

Dessert was the Banana's Foster, Peanut Butter Pie and Pecan Pie.

I have to say, this was the best meal I have had in such a long time. It was "that" good.

The review in the Inquirer that Craig LaBan wrote has damaged this place and it's a shame. If I didn't try it before that review, I probably wouldn't have gone there ever.....I'm glad we knew to go back and try it again!

I too went there for Restaurant Week-- My experience was completely dreadful. Service, quality of food, everything! After we were served an app that actually tasted bad (the crab/shrimp spring roll), we pointed this out to our server. No apology, no offer replace it... nothing... not even mention that this same filling would be used for one of the entrees we ordered. I would not go back there.

The positive note of the evening were the desserts. They were appealing, although absurdly enormous.

Have to say, I side with LaBan on this one.
