Bar Steak at Raoul's - SOHO

chow_gal Oct 30, 2006 04:41 PM

$22, a delicious bargain and a great way to pass a fall Sunday.

Starts with beautifully dressed greens, basket of crusty baguette with sweet butter. Then a lovely, pefectly cooked, flavorful steak and a heap of McDonald's look-alike fries. Perfectly salted. Plus a really tasty, garlicky brown gravy. House wine was fine with the steak. Bartender was attentive, charming and the crowd felt very neighborhoody. The bar was packed. Great steak and great vibe.

I'm glad you had a great meal at Raoul's, the last few times have so sub-par we took it of the rotation, used to go there at least one a month for many years. the real icing on the cake was the exceptionally rude waiter who could not have been less helpful or more obnoxious. Would be great if it was improving after such an intense decline.

I am glad you enjoyed the Bar Steak!! It is one of my simple pleasures in life. I have not been to Raol's in quite the spell so am glad it was good.
