I'd love to hear suggestions by chowhounds as to the best Jamaican food in London. I will be going there in a few days.

The Red Pepper on The Holloway Rd ( close to Highbury & Islington Station ) is a real little treasure. Come out of the station and walk down the Holloway Rd until you are opposite Mann & Overton ( main dealers for London taxi's ) and it is opposite.

Their jerk chicken is worth the journey from any part of London and "Mikey's Mussels in rum" will have you licking the plate.

Service is, shall we say, relaxed

    Hope this helps

Brixton Market has a selection of stalls and cafes with great Jamaican food.

wow, I live near the red pepper and I haven't checked it out yet. There is a place near catford station in south london which does delicious ackee and saltfish roti. there is also a restaurant in finsbury park on stroud green road called the hummingbird which does some really delicious food and peanut butter punch.
