Help! Vegetarian Mexican in Highland Park?

I thought I read about it very recently on Figueroa. Anyone?

    it's called Cinnamon

I was just there for the first time last night. It's nothing fancy, but for the vegetarian in my life it was wonderful that he didn't have to ask if there was lard in the beans/tortillas, etc.

What I particularly enjoyed was a veggie cocktail of tomato, cilantro, onion and half a chopped avocado. Simple but it was SO tasty and refreshing!

We tried to get spicy food, but that didn't seem to be much of an option.

The menu is vast, though. I'm sure there's something for everyone. OH, and don't be fooled by the burritos being on the "appetizer" menu. They are quite large.

That's it! Thanks for that. We got takeout from Chico's tonight but will try Cinnamon soon. Do you like the burrito? Are the beans good?

    2. Not sure where Highland park is but Kaye and Dave's on Pico in W. LA is okay.

      1. You can try Homegirl Cafe in East L.A. It's a little way from Highland Park, but I've heard good reviews of the place. They serve non-vegetarian dishes as well:
