  1. Do you mean on Queen West? I can't possibly count how many times I have eaten there. I love it and the value cannot be beat. I honestly suggest anything on the menu that strikes your fancy for the particular night. It really is all good.

    1. It's been a while, but from what I can remember their steak was over cooked, lobster tails are mushy and from frozen (so the surf and turf isn't worth it even at $20) but their salmon is perfect everytime.

What's the website address? Is the full menu online?

      Chow!

      1. It's great...any of the pastas are delicious...it's small...but clean with efficient service...price is right...you gotta try it...only had the pasta...but what else would you want at a "oneofakindpasta'...Miranda

yah, I am feeling like some nice pasta tonight mmm.. so thats the plan, ill let you guys know how it was :)

ginger orange butter cream sauce chicken is very good too. It could use a bit more ginger punch for my liking, but the orange flavour is perfect and the chicken itself is always a very large, plump, juicy, boneless breast. Get the mashed potatoes offered with it!

            1. re: deelicious

yah i just read that one online, is it served a la carte or do you get side dishes?

              1. re: hungryabbey

I have had it is served with great mashed potatoes, sometimes garlic, sometimes plain, and fresh veggies that are sauteed with lots of garlic. The chicken is always plump and tender.

But I would say the pastas pack more punch! Some excellent selections.

As far as the lobster tail is concerned, I never thought to order that there, as I would expect it to be frozen and I have never been served enjoyable frozen lobster.

                1. re: deelicious

No, I wouldnt go for the lobster tail either. When I want lobster, Ill go somewhere specifically FOR lobster. Similarly, like tonite, when i want Pasta, I'm gonna go somewhere specifically for pasta. So off I go to the 'one of a kind' PASTA bar.. hm, but I see on their menu something as an appetiser called 'pizza bread'-hm, i Do wonder what this is exactly. I can take a pretty good guess, but it sounds yum, have u tried it or seen someone with it?

                  1. re: hungryabbey

no sorry - never noticed it even. I can say though that the complimentary bread they give you with some garlic butter is only average. dont know if that is relevant.

Sure hope you enjoy it tonight!!

        2. Mmm THANKS SO MUCH GUYS FOR THE RECCOS!! It was FABULOUS!
Cozy, cute, warm feeling place on a cold windy night. I actually kind of liked the garlic bread, though we ended up ordering bruschetta to start, which was some of the best Ive ever had. It came with toasted garlic bread and a bowl of bruschetta topping which you put on yourself. It was really good stuff. Two of us had the 24.The duet: Jalapeno Linguine and Basil Linguine with Sweet Italian Sausage, Chicken, Red Pepper, Broccoli and Onion in a Spicy Tomato Sauce for 13.95!! It was some of the best pasta Ive ever had.. Ive never had jalapeno pasta, so it was a nice touch! And one had the 14.Marco Polo: penne with Sweet Italian Sausage, Chicken with Green Peppers, Onions and Mushrooms in a Spicy Tomato Sauce for 11.95, which I tried and it too was excellent! And one had the simple 2.Spaghettini Bolognaise with Fresh Herbs in a red Wine Meat Sauce for 9.95-now this was reaaaally good. It smelled like cinnamon, I dont normally go for meat sauces, but this was just to die for. For the 3 pastas, bruschetta, (complimentary garlic bread), two pops and a half Lt. of white wine it was only 87$! HOW can you get any better??
Im definetly going to have to go to this place again because there was so much on the menu that I want to try. Maybe next time I'll go for the veal meat balls with meat sauce.. mmmmm
          THANKS AGAIN GUYS!

Great to hear! Funny because I went online to see the menu earlier today and the meatballs jumped out at me for the first time! I am going to try them this week for sure.

          2. OK I have done a search and have been unable to find a website to this place. Can anyone help me out?

            1. I LOVE one of a kind even though I don't normally like pasta. My absolute fave is the Pink Lady (angel hair pasta in tomato cream sauce with chunks of salmon and shrimp and veggies - mmmmm). Every time I frequent OOAK (one of a kind) I order it, although every time I go in thinking I will try something different that day. In the end though, I can't bring myself to do it because it is that good!

              1. haha I know its hard not to get stuck like that.. I wish so much they were in my neighbourhood and would deliver to my house. What have othe rppl tried?

                1. Gosh, I'm the lone dissenter.

My husband loves OOAK too, but its appeal totally eludes me. I'm a fairly visually-oriented person, and I've sometimes wondered if that's its problem for me - the tired decor, fusty jade plants, diner-esque plating.. I dunno.

So maybe that colours my perception of the food, which I find a bit grim. Stodgy floury gray mushroom soup; poor selection of apps; boring garlic bread; ridiculously-big servings of pasta that just isn't all that good.

Waaaa. Apparently I'm an unseasonably-early Grinch, don't mind me. But I'm just always surprised because everyone but me seems to love it.

                  1. re: spigot

I actually kind of liked that dreary feeling of the decor. The drippy candle wax thing at the front was kinda cool. It just felt cozy..

                    1. re: spigot

I'm glad its not just me! I agree with your dreary assessment. I wonder if I would like it better if i got takeout and had it in the comfort of my own home...
I love great food, but i do think atmosphere has an effect, especially if you can't help thinking the place looks dreary.

                      1. re: spigot

I agree about some of the food being ho-hum boring (not to mention it drives me crazy that restaurants put so many ingredients into dishes that would taste better done simply). However, a few select dishes are decent, particularly the salmon. The candlelit atmosphere was quite cosy when a group of us went for dinner months ago.

                        1. re: Food Tourist

I'll try the salmon, thanks Food Tourist. I would like to like the place ;-)
