I haven't eaten there in years but I recall not being very impressed with the food. My choice for a better steakhouse in the area is Manhattan Steakhouse on Rt. 35 in Ocean.

I agree with bgut1. I was at Danny's twice and not impressed at all. I just rememeber his prices were a little high. I like Ashes for a good rib eye steak, or as bgut said, Mahnattan Steakhouse is also very good.

Beware of most establishments in New Jersey that put the word "Steak" any where in their name. Danny's Steakhouse in Redbank, NJ is a nice, friendly "Bar & Grill" with a nice wine list and bar appys, but they have a "Cook," which is not to be confused with "Chef." Danny's is Not like the many mediocre suburban Boulder Creek type highway chains whose clientele order their "meat" medium-well with a bottle of A-1, fries and wash it all down with a sweet fruity beverage, only to return to a drive-up window the very next day. But if you want to be considered a "Steak House" you get only one shot at meeting or exceeding your customers' expectations ... Danny's amateurish un-prepped, over-cooked leather like dry steak Failed to deliver any satisfaction what-so-ever. Except for the River Palms in North Jersey on the Hudson River, I usually avoid eating a steak out any where in Jersey at establishments who claim ratings of 4 Star or better, because it is almost always met with great disappointment. At only $28.00 a steak, Danny's doesn't pretend to be Grill 23, Roberts, Lugers or Sparks ... it is a very pleasant place to visit, have a drink and order up their killer stuffed mushrooms appy for only $8 bucks and leave quite satisfied, steak not-with-standing.

          Danny's Steakhouse: 2 Stars

Please don't be so judgemental. Just b/c others do not share your sophisticated palate does not invalidate their choices/tastes Not everyone can afford to dine at PL's.

No place! I'm hopeful the new Shipwreck Point is the answer to my steak prayers.

I've heard some good things about Steakhouse 85 in new Brunswick. Not Monmouth or Ocean but not too far away.
