Buffalo Burgers

I recently ate at Ted Turner's Montana Grill in Denver (there are numerous locations in other parts of the country).

I had the best buffalo burger there. Do we have any place in the Bay Area that serves buffalo burgers of that quality or,dare I wish, better?

Prather ranch serves them at the Ferry market on Tuesday afternoon and Saturday morning. The are grilled over flame while you wait (and watch).

They are pretty tasty, but I have never been to Ted Turner's so can't really compare.

However, if you are going to Prather for Buffalo meat I think that the buffalo tacos really steal the show..

Dude, make your own. Most Whole Foods Markets have fresh, ground buffalo. A little salt and pepper (and if you have it smoked black pepper) and a grill or grill pan and you are well on your way to fantastic. Plus, then you can dress it up any way you want.

Buffalo burgers are one of the house specialties at Washoe House in Petaluma. Can't say if it's better than Ted's. Here's the post -

Doesn't the Bullshead in West Portal have Buffalo Burgers? I'm pretty sure my BF ate one last time we were there.
