dinner in NY on the 4th for 3 early
We are coming to Manhattan for the marathon and need somewhere amazing for an early dinner on the 4th. Babbo had no room 2 weeks ago, we have done Balthazar, craftsteak, Megu and the Odeon, Would love a suggestion for somewhere in that price range, but something new and lively.
Thanks in advance for reccomendations!

A Voce, which opened in the spring, has excellent modern Italian cuisine. (Note: The chef is Andrew Carmellini, formerly of Cafe Boulud.) Definitely a lively place. In fact, the noise level can get unbearably high, but since you intend to go early, when it's not quite as busy, it should not be too much of a problem. OpenTable shows availability at 5:30 p.m.
