We have family gathering in Chicago and am looking for a restaurant with a private room for a small party (12 people). Any ideas?

I think that Le Lan has a small semi-private room in the back.

Le Colonial (French/Vietnamese) on the Gold Coast has space for semi-private parties on their second floor lounge. Check the site:

Opera at 1301 S. Wabash has a private room and nice food!

House of Fortune in Chinatown has a semi-private room. Usually has 2 tables for 10, if it's not a terribly busy night, they may let you have it. Call them up & ask, pretty accomodating.

Vong's Thai Kitchen has a private room, but I'm not sure if they will let you use it with only 12 people.
