My best girlfriend's birthday this weekend. I would love to find a nice place for a girlie brunch/lunch. Any ideas?

  1. The L.A. Uberopolis is a pretty BIG place, what part would suit you best?

Hollywood all the way west towards Santa Monica

The Bel Air Hotel is the best hidden country gem in the city area. Once inside you can imagine yourself in many other parts of the world.

If the weather is good enough, outside at Geoffrey's in Malibu has a ocean view reminiscent of a Mediterranean vacation.

    2. ONE PICO at Shutters in Santa Monica.

With the Santa Ana winds blowing, you could probably see Catalina if you grabbed a good seat.

      1. Neal Fraser of Grace recently opened BLD (breakfast lunch dinner) on Beverly near Fairfax. It got a solid review from the LA Times this morning. I haven't been yet, but Grace is an excellent restaurant, so...

        1. Campanile or JAR would both be great choices.

I liked Campanile's brunch better than Jars... plus the ambiance is so much nicer at Campanile and their Bloody Mary is seriously the BEST... YUM!! :)

          2. Not as upscale as the other suggestions, but Joe's in Venice has a good brunch. Good quality food, reasonably priced, and a nice patio. Not sure if they are open on Sundays, but Micheal's in Santa Monica has great food and a really nice patio (much nicer than Joe's).

            1. How about the Restaurant at the Getty Center...one of the best views in the city, and nothing over $18 on the brunch menu.

              1. if it's a lot of girls going, it might be best if you do a prix fixe brunch. im sure there are better places for food, but i arranged a nice brunch for 7 of my girlfriends at cafe del rey 2 months ago. you have a view of the marina (marina del rey), and the 3 course brunch with champagne is a deal at $28 each (good quality seafood).
