Park Slope celebratory dinner

We know Applewood, Stone Park Cafe, Al di La, Bellevue, Convivium to celebrate ... would like a new place. Suggestions?

you could certainly whoop it up at blue ribbon - maybe splurge on the raw bar, or paella, and a fine champagne.

blue ribbon sushi used to be really good but i've seen people report lately on this board that it's gone downhill. sushi is very fun for a celebration, at least in my book, but one might want to check on the latest news before going there.

my husband and i had a lovely meal at tempo on saturday night. the waitstaff is really pleasant and the sommelier recommended an excellent wine (which, shockingly, wasn't in the highest range on the wine list)

my steamed clam appetizer was a bit too salty, but his ham croquetas were lovely.

and whatever olive oil they put out to dip the bread in is way above standard olive oil. it was fruitier and had an excellent, mildly olive-y flavor.

we shared the steak for two, which is prepared with this addictive salty/sweet crust and the brussels sprouts.

dessert was the sticky toffee pudding, although i would have preferred the panna cotta (it was one of those marital concessions you need to make, although not such a tough one.)

overall, we left very full and very happy.

i think this is a great place for a celebratory dinner, especially if you're in a group.
