Breakfast out of Malpensa (Milan) on the way towards Florence?

JugglerDave Oct 26, 2006 11:44 AM

We're looking for a place to have breakfast after we land in Malpensa at 8am before the 3 hr drive towards Bologna. Is there a good place in a small town near the airport? Or should we just stop at the first Autogrill on the Autostrada? We don't want to drive into Milan, nor do we want to eat too much so we can fully enjoy our fist lunch in Italy in Parma/Modena/Bologna.

Thanks!

Italians are not very big on breakfast. In Italy, you rarely see the kind of cooked breakfast that is routine in the US or the UK. Breakfast for most Italians is coffee and a roll/pastry of some sort. You best bet probably would be to stop at the first Autogrill you see. Save your time, money and appetite for lunch in Parma/Bologna/Modena!
