I am going to be in Portland for one night only on Sunday, November 5, and I'm looking to gorge myself on exquisitely prepared fresh seafood. Can anyone offer a recommendation? Thanks in advance.

Keep eating,
J. Ro

Our three favorites in Portland area for seafood are: Joe's Boathouse, S. Portland, Street & Co., and Old Port Sea Grill.

      WIN WITH IRWIN SAYS:
      FIRST CHOICE: STREET & COMPANY
SECOND CHOICE: OLD PORT SEA GRILL OR DIMILLIO'S
I THINK JOE'S BOATHOUSE IS TERRIBLE, AND THE SISTER RESTAURANT NEXT DOOR IS WORSE..

I don't mean to start another long discussion about the merits of Fore Street, but that's the place I'd recommend. There's always plenty of wonderfully prepared fresh seafood on the menu. And with the open kitchen and big wood oven, it becomes more charming as the weather gets colder. Old Port Sea Grill is good, too, and Street and Co. is good but overrated, in my opinion.

and I say Street & Co. is best because it focuses on seafood. If you go to Fore st. in winter, don't sit at a table right next to the window. Brrrrrr
