Ted's Montana Grill?

Anyone been to this place (51st, b/t 6th and 7th aves)? How is it?

What other NYC steak places does it compare with, if any? Is it the "Olive Garden" of steak places?

    1. I thought it was fine, for what it is. I went for lunch, not dinner, so my expectations were lower. Got the N.E. Clam Chowder, which was surprisingly good, and a bison burger with mushrooms, onions and jack cheese, which was sloppy, but well cooked. I don't think I'd rush back for dinner (except maybe to try the bison steak), but I'd keep it open as an option for lunch. I don't think it compares to other steakhouses in the city. I'd compare it more to someplace like P.J. Clarke's.

        1. I was there on Friday night. The food is good, the waiters are friendly and efficient, and the chili is amazing.

            1. The staff is friendly. The sides are good (esp. the truffle risotto, if I remember right) but the meat was just average, and expensive. Maybe go for a drink and apps? That'd be my rec.
