Help! Need a bday dinner place next Friday for 10 people around 8pm in LES.

Hi,

I'm planning a bday dinner party for next Friday for around 10 people. Are there any places that are in the Lower East Side (below 1st Ave) and from 4th Street to 16th Street that is decently priced and can accomodate a big group?

I tried kansala and supper - but they didn't have any reservations around 8pm.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Been there more than a dozen times with small and huge groups. Sure it's not the best service, but have never had an issue with it. Besides, great food and prices are enough for us.

If you do go, do not get mixed drinks unless you want to get plastered on cough syrup tasting drinks. $3 beers are good for us.

We were there Saturday.... THE WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!! 20 minutes for eith glasses of water!!! I finally helped myself!!!! There were eight of us and only half the dishes came out... It took almost 2 hours for dinner!!!! The food is great, but they have no idea how to handle when its crowded.

I also noticed that the tables that were fille dwith asian folk were definitely waited on better than the non asian folk. BTW I am asian so forget about crying racism... Bottom line is DONT GO THERE IF U WANT A GOOD TIME!!!!!!!

How bout Suba? Spanish place in th eLES...BTW..u didnt mention budget???

I had a great party for 10 recently at Azul. It's a lively Argentinean bistro in the LES. Lots of fun and excellent food - doesn't hurt to love grilled meat, but as I recall there are lots of options on the menu.
