Eating in Quito

Hi Hounds -

I know there's been several Ecuador posts in the past few years, but I wanted to see if anyone has new tips. Any suggestions for more upscale restaurants IN Quito? Or down-low places not to miss? I'll have several days to explore.

Hmm. I went to Zazu last week and was very disapointed. One of those places that trys to be fancy, so its uptight and all, but without good food. Some of our dishes were just strange. Now I agree about the desserts, that was a treat.

zazu's was great -- we had the 8 course seafood tasting menu. Best tuna I ever had plus every dish was beautiful. The table shared desserts and they were beautiful as well.
