Gari lately?

After just reading that Gari is opening up a new place in my neighborhood, on 46th St btwn 8th and 9th (Restaurant Row - and odd location, I think), I figured I'd see if people have been to the Gari spots lately, what they think, etc . . . any thoughts/reviews/recent experiences?

Yes Sushi of Gari has been consistently great in my book. The jury is still out on whether the brazilian rock salt does anything for me, but otherwise the fish is always flown in fresh from Tsukiji..etc. etc. Considering that Yasuda used to work here, this place is A-Ok in my book.

I've only ever been to Sushi of Gari (UES) and have never been disappointed. I read that it is closed for renovation until the end of October. Look forward to hearing how the new location is. -
