Just over the border in France (5 min. cab ride) is a seafood restaurant called Restaurant le Pirate. I ate there last May and it was wonderful. If you go, don't forget your passport in case you get stopped by border patrol.
I was in Geneva in 2000 and was fairly appalled by the restaurant prices. The one "cheap eats" bright spot I found was a Shawarma place run by a Lebanese Canadian guy. Terrific by any standards. Wish I could remember the name.
