Rehearsal Dinner for 25 in peninsula?

hi, my brother is getting married in mid-december. Any recommendations for a restaurant that will seat approx. 25 during the holiday season, has great food, and is kid-friendly? Somewhere in the $25-$50 pp range (I know that's a wide range!). He'd like to stay away from the chinese banquet idea (as the wedding meal is asian inspired). Oh-the wedding is in Palo Alto, but anywhere in the peninsula could work.

I've seen some wedding party like events at Trader Vic's in Palo Alto. The food is good (not great) but the atmosphere and cocktails are fantastic. I'm not sure if it fits your price range.

Tied House in Mountain View has a great private room called the Beer Garden. We had a rehearsal dinner for 40 there and they did a great job. Very inexpensive for the area too, we paid $15/pp (not including alcohol). The service and food were EXCELLENT.

Tamarine has a private room in the back and the food is quite good if a bit pricey. however you said you did not want Asian because the wedding meal will be Asian.
