It's on Sullivan Ave. in South Windsor, in the plaza across from Geissler's market. It used to be the Pickle Works Deli. I read the JI article and believe that they offer breakfast and lunch only. I don't recall any mention of brunch. The business is owned by two couples who between them appear to have a lot of experience in food service. Even though the building looks more like a barn, they opted for the name Red Cabin to impart a sense of coziness. The place seats about 40, and it seems to me from the article that it would be similar to other small to medium places like Hotcakes or Good Morning in East Windsor, Emerald in South Windsor or Dom's Eatery in Windsor.

Hi. I finally checked this place out for Breakfast a few Saturdays ago. I really liked it. We were a party of 4 adults and 2 kids (ages 1 and 3). Three of the adults had omeletes...all of which were quite large and (I thought) cooked perfectly. The homefries/hash browns were nothing special but tasty. One of the adults in my party mentioned that the butter on the toast tasted "funky" but I didn't notice it under the jelly I put on my rye toast. The prices are reasonable, service is good. I'd definitely go back.
