Addicted to Bings

guttergourmet Oct 23, 2006 11:40 AM

I've got a problem. Can't drive down west 4th without grabbing a spicy pork bing. What should I do?

It's W 3d, but I agree Roll and Dough is good.

Off of 6th. This is something you could easily find on google.

thank you for the generous advice but it wasn't clear to me if
the bing was name of the food and/or the restaurant..

Try walking instead. Maybe you could get two.

Eating first never helps me. That taro bing has a hypnotic pull on me...

I haven't tried that one, or the red bean one. But my usual two - the veggie and the banana - are enough to keep me coming back every week.

You should switch to my usual--hot and sour veggie and red bean. You won't go back to banana! The $1 NYU special all month means my life is full of bing.

Thanks for the tips. I've been a little wary of the red bean because red bean things are always hit-or-miss... Are they super sweet?

not sweeter than the banana last time I tried. Since there is not room for that much red bean, it can't be that sweet when eaten with the dough outside. You can go to that place at 38th st and 8th ave if you like red bean filling not terribly sweet. They sure give you a ton of red beans too. I can't even remember the name of that place, anyone know what i am talking about?

Guttergourmet, I'd do the same in your position!

Not to slight the bings (or the dumplings and buns, which are also crave-worthy), but is there any word on when they'll be expanding the menu? Around opening they told me it was in the works for later on, and I haven't been back recently.
