Would appreciate folks' advice re Brittainia Arms in San Jose. Whether you like it, what's especially good re food and beer. Thanks!

Eh...I'd pass. But it depends on what you're looking for. It's a typical sports bar with tv's and bad food. Nice selection of beers on tap. Nice patio out bad. But I don't consider it a pub. If you're looking for a place for a pint, watch some game, it's fine.
I like Trails on No. 1st, next to Teske's. It's a true neighborhood pub...we've been going since they opened 9 yrs ago. Food isn't as good as it used to be but the fish & chips is decent and they have really good beers on tap. And they serve imperial pints here! :)
I'd give Trial's a try. -
