Pubs in Oakville?
For the last 6 years we have been going to "The King's Arms' of Oakville 3-4 times a week. They have an amazing chef (Kumar. The majority of the dishes are made fresh from scratch. Way better than your usual pub food and the prices are very resonable. Very busy all the time. It's a happenning place.
In downtown Oakville, the Kings Arms used to be reliable, always liked the grub at the Queen's Head better -- however, I haven't been to either in a couple of years.
I can, however, recommend another option for you to consider: The Clarkson Pump on Lakeshore in (you guessed it) Clarkson. I've never been disappointed by their menu, the beer selection is okay and the service is friendly. The owner seems to be onsite all the time, which is also a nice thing to see. Their back patio is huge and great in the summer, but without it open in the winter the restaurant can get verrrry crowded. And there isn't a pool table.
