ISO Stolichnaya "Okhotnichya"

hatless Oct 20, 2006 06:22 PM

I'm down to half of my last bottle of Okhotnichya, the amber-colored honey-and-grass vodka from Stolichnaya. Down here in South Florida, I've asked at quite a few liquor stores in the Russian enclave of Sunny Isles and Hallandale with no luck.

Does anyone know where it can be found -- or ordered -- in the US?

According to the following Wikipedia entry, Stoli's 'Hunter's Vodka' is no longer distributed in the US.

I suppose it's a matter of finding that elusive old, dusty stockroom with the remaining boxes from the final shipment just waiting to be discovered.

Or, you could infuse your own (unlikely, I know. I think there are over 20 ingredients involved).

Long-shot option: if you know someone in Europe, they could purchase from a website (such as this: http://www.drinkfinder.co.uk/showdeta...) then ship it to you. Admittedly, I'm not sure what the US Customs regulations are on this sort of transaction.

    Udachi!

Yeah, I know it's not imported by the US licensees. I'm just sorta hoping there's a grey-market importer who supplies someone in Brighton Beach or sells it out of the back of a Volvo to Russian nightclubs in L.A. or something. :)

I've been trying to find Stoli's coffee-flavored vodka. I think I bought out every bottle in my area a while back and my local liquor store says they don't make it any more.
