vinh loi tofu --vietnamese restaurant and tofu factory

finally made it to vinh loi.

had the vegetarian shrimp and chicken spring rolls wrapped in rice noodle (#20) which was ok

had the salad,which is an amazaing cold salad of herbs, greens, cucumbers,bean sprouts, veggie chicken and veggie beef slices. i had them substitute a different dressing for the coconut dressing. THIS WAS SUBLIME!!!!!
i dreamt about this salad all night!!

had the excellent fried tofu with lemongrass and chili. this was delicious and fried perfectly--the 'skin' was a perfect light THIN crispy layer, NOT leathery or tough at all. the flavor was great.

also had a glass of homemade pandan soy milk which was delicious.

also took home a half gallon of their sweetened homemade soymilk which tastes so much better than the normal storebought that the grocery stores carry.
i've been drinking it plain and have found out that it makes a phenomenal ice-blended mocha.

i will definitely be going back

    I just got the menu from a friend last night and I'm dying to try it. Thanks for the ordering tips. The tofu w/ lemongrass and chili sounds right up my alley. I'm going next week.

      it is good, you won't miss the meat in the faux pho, and they make the dishes very spicey and very reasonably priced.
