Bookmarks: Is there a limit to the number of pages that can be bookmarked?

Is there a limit to the number of pages that can be bookmarked?

How can I bookmark if I'm not using Delicious or Digg This? I've never heard of these before! I remember I used to be able to bookmark with in the chowhound site. Is that not an option anymore? Will I need to "sign" up with Delicious or Digg this? I don't see any other options for bookmarking.

Bookmarking has been renamed to 'watch this topic'. It'll add it to your My Chow page and eventually email you if there are updates.

Please consider turning off the "email you if there are updates" feature. I don't want email - and, judging from other threads, many others don't either. How about making it optional and off by default?

Bookmarking is now available under the 'Topic Options' dropdown, allowing you to bookmark the thread here, as well as on social bookmarking site Delicious.

There is no hard limit on how many threads you may bookmark, but bookmarking too many might eventually make your my chow page load quite slowly.

Popup menus, once learned, are the way to go. Nice options there.

Also good that "takes time to load" puts the Onus back where it should be: on the User; but the facility is still there.

The facility to Bookmark and Retrieve unlimited threads is an important foundational component of fostering the fullest possible dialog.

In each member's mind is the subconcious question: "will I be able to retrieve this topic of interest if I take the time to contribute?" If the answer is no, then contributions flatten and decline.

The coincidence in timing of my posting this question and the removal of the Bookmarking Button was jarring and unsettling. And, I just now realized that I haven't posted a thing since, nor searched for threads, because that "subconscious question" was indeed operating.

May we hear from the Moderators, please?
