Had dinner with friends last night at Bodgea and noticed that the Shaking Beef (Bo du lac?) no longer comes with bell peppers and celery, only sweet yellow onion. I saw Jimmie on the way out and told him I liked it better this way and he said "Some guy reviewed me and didn't like all the veggies so I changed it back. I had a cook who thought the people wanted veggies in all dishes but you know the Vietnamese, we just want the meat."

So thanks to Robert Lauriston for inspiring that change!

I was there last night too, and the shaking beef was great. We also enjoyed the Tiger Prawns. Question: Do most folks eat the prawn shells?

They were busy last night! We got the prawns too. I always eat the shells...and the tails for that matter. Good source of glucosamine!

If Kwok's prawn shells are as crispy as his squab feet, it'd be a sin not to eat them.

Nice to know that my work has a positive effect sometimes. À bas l’Américanisation!
