Visiting RI and ME

Hi -

My husband and I will be in New England for a few days at the end of October. We're visiting friends in Providence, RI then driving to Stockton Springs, ME which is relatively near Camden and Bar Harbor, I think. Any recommendations for any part of the trip would be great, thanks.

What type of food do you like? And cheap eats, money no object, or something in between? W/a bit more info, I'll give you some Providence recs.

For a casual lunch or dinner, Just Barbs in Stockton Springs is great. It's right on rt 1. On your trip from Providence to Stockton Springs, you should aim to have lunch in either Portsmouth or Portland. In Providence we recently enjoyed Union Station Brewery and McCormick and Schmick. But I plan to have a great Italian dinner on our next visit, probably Causarina's (sp) on Federal Hill.
