Mail-order turkey
I remember reading on here a few weeks ago about some mail-order company that makes the most delicious turkeys. They recommend that you eat them at room temperature, but you can also heat 'em up in the oven. I recall the name of the company was a last name, but I cannot think of what that name is! Thanks for your help.

I have one coming for the first time this Thanksgiving! They were super nice on the phone and don't even bill you until you receive the turkey. I'm excited.

Yes! Greenberg! I knew it was a Jewish last name (we can spot our own kind!), but I didn't want to blatantly say "I think it's the Jewish turkey people." Thank you, Liz! You are my hero.

Glad to be of assistance. If they are indeed Jewish, "smoked Jewish turkey from Texas" really has a fun ring to it! Hope you enjoy it.

They really are Jewish and the family still runs every aspect of the company.

I just received one and it smells heavenly--will carve into it soon.
Be warned that UPS delivered it a day LATER than scheduled (the package went missing for a day), instead of a day earlier than scheduled as the folks at Greenberg Turkey have experienced in the past.
Unfortunately it arrived too late for a dinner party, so we'll be enjoying it next weekend instead. It keeps for a week in the fridge anyway, so plan for delivery hiccups just in case.
I live in New York City.
