My parents are coming to town this weekend and I'm trying to find a brunch place. I've been hearing about Colorado Kitchen and their donuts... but can someone tell me what else they have on the menu? If not there, any other ideas? Thanks!

Eggs Benedict, fried catfish, shrimp & grits, french toast, etc. Pretty standard brunch stuff, very well prepared. NOT a buffet, thank god.

Service can be spotty, the waits are long, but the food is amazing.

I'm drooling just thinking about the donuts even now...

I'm not a big fan of this place (still don't get the appeal of their famous burger and the desserts I've had there were stale), but they do know how to scramble eggs and make biscuits.

Equally good, freshly made donuts can be found at the Tabard Inn, a spot in Dupont Circle with a whole lot more charm and a lot less attitude.
