Civic Center Farmer's Market - really good today (Wed 10/18)

Dave MP Oct 18, 2006 03:47 PM

I think this farmer's market is good every time I go, but today seemed particularly good....got there at 8 AM and things were more set up and crowded than usual....tons of awesome looking persimmons (I don't like them too much, so I didn't buy them, but everyone else was). Plenty of $1 lb early girl tomatoes, lots of red, yellow and green peppers. I bought some really nice, large shallots for $1.50 lb. Saw huge sugar cane for 3 dollars.

I can't exactly say why I thought the farmer's market was so good today, it just felt better than usual. If you can make it, go!

DAve MP, maybe it's the nice weather today? Everything looks shinier in the sun. :)

Haha, yeah, that might be it. Or maybe I woke up on the right side of the bed. Did anyone else go today?

My filled shopping bag is in the corner of my office now, as I walk by I can smell the thai basil.
