A fine night for TV. First a little unreality with Lost, then even *more* unreality with Project Runway and Top Chef. :-)

      1. re: LindaWhit

My TIVO cancelled "Lost" because "Top Chef" runs 4 minutes over the hour.

How is that when they're on during two different hours? (9pm and 11pm)

          1. re: LindaWhit

It's a little complicated, but in LA, DirecTV broadcasts the networks at the normal times but the cable channels like Bravo and BBCAmerica are seen in LA 3 hours earlier than shown in the papers or TV guide; so if you record primetime network programs, it's hard to fit in cable broadcasts too. Just a quirk.

I'm also in LA and have Dish Network. Same as DirecTV, there aren't any west coast feeds on certain channels such as Bravo, TBS, Spike, USA, etc. Top Chef debuts tonight west coast time from 8:00 to 9:05 and next week the first airing on Wednesday is at 7:00. There are about a billion repeats.

all you need to do is record the next showing of top chef instead. Top chef repeats itself on bravo like 5 times every wednesday night (little exaggeration but you get the point).

I don't have tivo, but I have comcast dvr which is kind of the same principle. When one show can't be recorded I just go to the next showing. hopefully that helps you out, I would hate for you to miss the first episode

Oh yeah, tonight is my superbowl! :-)

Bravo was showing reruns of the Top Chef finale from season 1. While Tiffani didn't bug me too much the first time around, she absolutely bugged this second time around.

Any updates on Harold's restaurant opening in NYC?

          1. And for anyone interested in last year's Dave, here's his website - this is one time I don't mind a bit of Flash on a website. :-)

(edited to say - turn up the volume on your speakers. <vbg>)

            1. And for anyone else who's interested, I found a link to last season's champ Harold Dieterle's restaurant Perilla over at the Top Chef Spot on Fanpop:

Bonus: For Project Runway fans, there were video slideshows of the finale collections from Olympus Fashion Week there too!
