Leela Lounge...any reviews?

Thinking of going Thursday and wanted to see if anyone has anything to say about it. Thanks in advance for your help.

  1. I have been there twice, but never for full meals. The first time I was there with a large group and had a glass of wine and some appetizers. The food was tasty, especially for the price. The wine was nothing special, but it was also reasonably price.

On the second visit, I only had a glass of wine that was fairly awful.

I'm willing to give it another chance, however, to try it for dinner. The back room (where dinner is served) looks appealing.

    1. I go there often to meet friends for a drink and appetizers. It has, I think, a lovely decor. Great draft beers. Cheap wines by the glass although as the previous poster noted, the bottles have sometimes been open a while and the wine is sometimes starting to turn.

Nonetheless, I wish this place would do better in terms of customers. It is a great space, they are friendly, every appetizer I've had has been good, and it is a convenient location for me. But they are empty -- especially the restaurant side -- virtually every time I've gone. I think more people would try the restaurant but feel strange sitting alone in such a big but empty space.

      1. I have eaten dinner here a couple of times in the past 6 months and enjoyed it.

The menu is eclectic and probably not very authentic/traditional but I appreciate the creative nature of the flavor combinations.

It's been 2-3 months since I last ate at Leela so I cannot remember exactly what my companions and I had but everything was very tasty.

        1. Is this the Indian restaurant in the Village?
