Toddler Friendly Dining Near Michigan Ave?

Traveling to Chicago for the weekend to meet in-laws -- we have a 15 month old, and although we're staying in a condo, I'm sure the in-laws will want to eat out. Condo is on E. Huron -- any suggestions for toddler friendly dining in the area? Thanks!

  1. I have a 10 month old
    places that are toddler
friendly, by which I mean spacious and room for stroller, etc:
Mighty Nice Cafe in Water Tower
Shanghai Terrace at the Peninsula (go early, though)
    Cheescake Factory

    1. big bowl on ohio...great veggie pad thai

Thanks -- I've been there before, and it was good. Unfortunately, our biggest "baby" on this trip will be my father-in-law, who isn't much for ethnic and is a meat & potatoes type (won't eat veggies). Maybe we'll leave him at the condo....

      2. Oak Tree (6th floor of 900 N. Michigan Mall) is a toddler-friendly brunch/lunch spot that adults can enjoy.

For super-casual food there is Portillo's/Barnelli's (Ohio and Clark) for burgers and/or pasta.

I don't love the food a Mighty Nice Cafe (it's fine, nothing special), but I agree that it's toddler-friendly.

        1. When our 1yo insisted on getting up early, we would go downtown to Tempo (on Chestnut and State, about 3 blocks off Michigan Ave) for breakfast...a Greek diner with all-American food. BUT...for weekend breakfast you must get there before 8-8:15am to avoid a wait!
