Sushi in Sonoma
Hounds,
I want to go eat sushi this week. Hana, Boathouse, or Kyoto all of which are in Rohnert Park have been well reviewed. What do you think? Thanks

Melanie,
Actually we went to Hiro's on Saturday at lunch. There were 2 other tables, nobody at the bar. Everybody was friendly and we felt ok with the room having nobody there.
So we had a sushi/sahimi combination and a tempura udon noodles, my friend doesn't eat raw fish.
His udon was perfect, excellent tempura, so dry and so crisp that it shattered when touched with a chopstick. He loved it.
My sushi/sashimi combo reminded me of the sea. Very fresh, I liked it. I would definitely reccomend going to Hiro's.
However, this time I want something between Sebastopol, and Petaluma. -
Here's one more to consider, Hiro in Petaluma.

My long-term favorite sushi in Sonoma County is Yao Kiku in Santa Rosa on Yulupa. Sam Ogura, chef/owner is the real deal, as evidenced by the fact that you must earn his respect. Fortunately this is easy to do. Just order oma-kasei (chef's choice). You won't be sorry.

We've also enjoyed Ume in Windsor. Local review:
