Vietnamese dry banana

A friend remembers her visit to Vietnam many years ago and the thing she most remembers are the dry bananas. Not banana chips you find at bulk food shops, but full bananas that are dried and are chewy rather than crispy. Any idea where I can get some of these here in the GTA (Richmond Hill would be best...)

  1. I have found them in the Gerrard/Broadview Chinatown shops and also at the Real Canadian Superstore at Don Mills & Eglinton. Best of luck!

I did try to find dry whole bananas in a China town and no luck.
Does anyone know where I can get it in GTA?

I realized now that I made a mistake in my post. I was thinking of dried mangoes. Sorry. The only place I found dried bananas was at Whole Foods. They were the best I have ever eaten, sweet, moist, and really chewy. I found them in the bulk section. Unfortunately, the last time I checked they no longer stocked them, and one of the staff said they had a hard time keeping bugs out of them!
